 "In the Evening" is a light but poignant madrigal ode to the changing New England seasons. Originally from Kendrick's opera "Emily," about the Amherst poetess Emily Dickinson, the song has original music and lyrics by Kendrick but is a stand-alone piece. This piece was commissioned by the Anthology a cappella quartet in Boston for their concert series, Voices of Protest and Unrest, and was recently performed at the International Alliance of Women in Music Congress 2011 in Flagstaff, Arizona.  Juntos is a four-movement chamber work for Flute, Bassoon and Viola, commissioned by the Anon Ensemble as their signature work. Juntos, which means “together,” is a loosely narrative chamber work in four movements which contains influences of South American dances. Although each movement refers to a different aspect of dancing with a partner, the piece is named Juntos because dance and music are both collaborative arts, whether in relating to one another or with an audience.
