Eva Conley Kendrick is an award-winning composer, vocalist and voice instructor. She is Director of the Eva Kendrick Voice Studio, Professor of Voice at Dean College and Director of Music at First Parish Unitarian Universalist of Medfield. She is in demand as a vocal coach for vocal auditions at every level including professional theatre, regional theatre, districts auditions and youth theatre and  helps families navigate the college audition process for students considering a degree in music/musical theatre.

NATS NATIONAL AUDITIONS—Six students from the Eva Kendrick Voice Studio were selected to compete at the 2024 NATS National Conference in Knoxville, TN in the Musical Theatre and Commercial Music Divisions. Nate Goldberg received 3rd Place (Lower High School CM TBB), William Daniel Russell received 2nd Place (Upper High School CM TBB) and Sophia O'Toole received 1st Place (Lower High School CM Treble). Congratulations to all of my students who participated and their families! 

 

EKVS students William Daniel Russell and Sophia O’Toole have been selected, out of hundreds of applications, as two of forty finalists to participate in the Songbook Academy 2024, a summer singing intensive in Carmel, IN created by Grammy nominated artist Michael Feinstein, in which professional vocalists, including Broadway performers, coach high school students in repertoire of the Great American Songbook. Other programs EKVS students will be participating in this summer include the University of Michigan Musical Theatre Intensive, the Juilliard Musical Theatre Intensive, the BoCo/Berklee Musical Theatre program and College Light Opera (CLOC). 

EKVS student Sky Vaux Fuller has joined the 2023-2024 National Broadway Tour of Les Miserables as Young Cosette/Young Eponine! 

EKVS student William Daniel Russell won 1st Prize in the 2023 National NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) Student Auditions, Musical Theatre, TBB (Tenor-Baritone-Bass) Division at the NATS Summer Conference in July, 2023. William also was one of 40 singers in the country selected to participate in the prestigious Songbook Academy, directed by multi-Grammy nominee Michael Feinstein. 

In 2023, Eva received Third Place in the National Lowell Mason House Music Advocacy Award, an award granted to musicians for re-imagining a piece of music for a classroom plan or public performance. Kendrick’s choral piece “Let the Chorus Sing” (O Music) weaves together works by Lowell Mason and is intended for choruses of multiple levels. Eva performed in the October Project Worldwide Choir arrangement of “Return to Me” with more than 130 singers from 18 different countries. The video is on Youtube and the single is available for purchase and/or download on all streaming music platforms.
